Dear Friends:

Regrettably, we will need to postpone the U.S.–Italia Education Innovation Festival, given the serious situation we are in and our concern for the health and mindset of everyone involved. In striving to convene the best group possible, we will reconvene at a time when everyone feels more safe, healthy and productive.

Our Italy-based partners are now considering the week of September 21-25, and we will determine which end of that week will be selected shortly. We have polled our speakers and almost all will be able to join us during that time. We hope you will as well.

We recognize this may pose conflicts for some but we are trying our best to accommodate all. If you happen to be an avid ASU+GSV attendee and we hold the Festival at the end of that week, you might consider going directly from Naples, Italy to San Diego, California for the start of their rescheduled Summit on September 29th. Should we have enough people willing to do so, we will consider the potential to charter a Festival-Summit shuttle! Our Italian hosts are anxious to host this first-of-its-kind event and to help expand the considerable innovation work being done in Bella Italia. They will do all they can to accommodate us, which if you know Italians, you know their hospitality knows no bounds!

In the meantime, stay tuned for news of a special U.S.–Italia Ed Innovation Mini-Fest in early April! People will be able to take part both in person and online from our media studios at the Willard Center in Washington, DC. Thanks to technology, communication from anywhere is possible - and will keep us moving forward, especially in the service of education, especially in times of need.

Best Regards,

on behalf of The US-Italia Ed Innovation Festival Team
