John,
As early as next week, the Senate may vote on whether to send an additional $14 billion in US taxpayer money and US-made weapons to the Israeli military.
Israel’s bombing campaign and ground invasion have already killed at least 15,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, obliterated civilian infrastructure including schools and hospitals, and made entire cities uninhabitable. According to the United Nations, these actions constitute war crimes and are in violation of humanitarian law.
The U.S. plays a role by providing military aid to Israel, and we believe in our shared responsibility for the conduct of Israel's actions in this conflict.
Ahead of an expected vote next week, we’re directing calls to urge the Senate to stop bankrolling Israel’s war crimes. Will you join tomorrow’s virtual phone bank at 3 PM ET/12 PM PT to help voters reach their Senators and tell them to oppose US taxpayer dollars and US weapons being sent to the Israeli military to commit war crimes against the Palestinian people?

We are deeply horrified by the ongoing tragedy in the region, where thousands of Israeli and Palestinian civilians have suffered loss and injury. Hamas's attacks on Israeli civilians and the Israeli government's actions in Gaza have created a dire humanitarian crisis.
Over the last two months, we have directed calls and increased the pressure on Members of Congress to come out in support of a ceasefire. While we are heartened by the temporary truce between Hamas and the Israeli government, we know we must keep up the pressure until there is a permanent ceasefire and a lasting peace in the region.
As more and more members of Congress come out for a ceasefire, there’s also growing momentum to block any further military funding for Israel so long as human rights abuses continue.
We already have laws on the books that say that the US government can’t send weapons and military funding to countries committing gross human rights violations. But it will take action from Congress to enforce those restrictions on US military funding for Israel.
To help stop Congress from sending an additional $14 billion in US taxpayer money and US-made weapons to the Israeli military, join the national phone bank tomorrow, Wednesday, November 29 at 3-5 PM ET/12-2 PM PT.
