I can’t overstate how important this first public fundraising deadline will be for our race. Claudia Tenney -- the special-interest backed, far-right politician we defeated by just 1% in 2018 -- is back for a rematch, and she’s already shoring up support from the DC establishment.
In a matter of weeks, we’ll know just how much money Tenney is raking in from Washington insiders and special interest lobbies. And even more, she’ll know exactly what her chances are in this race and how much she’ll need to spend to defeat us.
Since our race could be decided by just a handful of votes, it’s imperative that we lay the groundwork right now to pull out a win for Upstate New York’s working families. I know it seems early, but we cannot take a day for granted.
