Dear John, On this Giving Tuesday we invite you to “give” the gift of People’s World to some of the most vulnerable citizens of this country, help fight for the truth, and strengthen the unity of our all-people's coalition. Please make a special donation or become a sustainer to People’s World to bring light, anti-corporate information, justice, and solidarity to incarcerated individuals! Please make sure People's World continues being a strong voice for a ceasefire in Gaza, world peace, democracy, and environmental and social justice! Currently, there are almost 2 million incarcerated individuals who continually face extreme isolation, unpredictable chaos, overcrowding, constant worry of danger, and so much more. One of the ways we try to combat this unjust criminal system is by sending a weekly newsletter filled with select People’s World articles to incarcerated individuals who have requested to receive it. Every week, various volunteers get together to print the newsletters, fold them, and stuff them in envelopes to be sent out to 35 different institutions throughout the U.S. For the People’s World volunteers, it is a labor of love because they believe everyone should have access to anti-corporate and working-class information. To keep these weekly mailings, we need your help! The People's World is deeply engaged in the fight against MAGA extremism and combating right-wing disinformation. The anti-MAGA majority can deliver a severe blow to the GOP and Trump's lies and plans to impose authoritarianism by helping mobilize and educate every voter possible in 2024! If you sign up as a sustainer and “give” $5/month, you’d be providing one year’s worth of newsletters for one incarcerated reader. That would mean that for the whole year, they could stay connected to the outside world and better understand current events through a working-class lens. That is invaluable, and our incarcerated readers have expressed as much. We have received letters from multiple individuals who are grateful to receive the newsletter, even claiming it’s what keeps them sane. Check out the link above to read their letters firsthand.
