As the coronavirus outbreak spreads, countries like Italy are in full shut down mode and coffee shops like Starbucks are refusing to serve customers in their reusables cups. Those memorable plastic bags with "Thank you, thank you, thank you" across the front are set to become a thing of the past as New York imposes a plastic bag ban statewide. Our counterpart coalition, ReusableNYC ([link removed][UNIQID]) , is celebrating this important win.

Restaurant Surveys Are Due March 31st!
We are half way to our goal of 100 surveys, with preliminary results showing that 100% of the restaurants surveyed use disposables and 88% of them use products made from plastic. 83% of restaurants indicated they would support a law that requires them to charge a fee for disposable containers.
