This year, we’ve fought back, built power, and made progress in this challenging and complex landscape. We couldn’t have done this without the support of people like you. For example:

Our Impact in 2023:

Groundbreaking win for birth control — The FDA approved the first-ever, over-the-counter birth control pill following the testimony of PRH Fellows, young people, and experts. Opill is expected in stores in early 2024.

Stopping attacks on medication abortion — PRH filed an amicus brief affirming the importance & safety of mifepristone in a case before the Supreme Court that threatens access to this critical medication nationwide.

Educating and assisting policymakers — We helped hundreds of members of Congress and state legislators draft legislative text & amendments to respond to the abortion access crisis and support impacted communities.

Interrupting the criminalization of care — We provided tangible skills to hundreds of health care providers to disrupt efforts to criminalize patients. We co-drafted a groundbreaking Congressional resolution condemning the criminalization of essential care, like abortion and gender-affirming care.
