Deadline Approaching: Help unlock $200,000 for birds this Giving Tuesday. ([link removed])

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recently announced that 10 more bird species have been declared extinct. Now, climate change and a growing biodiversity crisis are making extinction a greater threat for an increasing number of birds and other wildlife. Sadly, tragedies like this could become the new normal—unless we take immediate action to prevent them. In the midst of this code-red crisis, as climate change and habitat loss threaten their very survival, birds are relying on your support now more than ever.

Right now, you have a powerful opportunity to unlock an additional $200,000 for climate endangered birds like the Allen’s Hummingbird and Piping Plover. Will you please be one of the 100 caring bird lovers we need to make a monthly gift before midnight? This special Giving Tuesday offer ends at midnight tonight, so please, don’t wait! [Half of all bird species are in decline.] ([link removed])

At the current rate of decline, the Allen’s Hummingbird will lose half of their remaining population within the next 17 years. They urgently need the protection of people who care about them—people like you. Your support, in combination with our committed advocacy, empowering education, and expert on-the-ground conservation—all guided by research and grounded in our shared love for birds—gives birds their best chance at survival. Together, we’re defending the laws that protect birds at risk, advocating for strong legislation like the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, keeping important landscapes and waters resilient, and fighting for the bold climate action birds need now.

According to the North American Breeding Bird Survey, Allen’s Hummingbird populations declined by 80% between 1968 and 2019.

Allen’s Hummingbirds could lose 64% of their range in a 3 degree warming scenario.

We couldn’t protect birds without people like you—people who care about them and are ready to help. And right now, on Giving Tuesday, birds need you more than ever. Please, be the friend birds need today: We’re counting on 100 dedicated bird lovers to join us with a monthly donation right away while it will help unlock $200,000 more to protect birds like the Allen’s Hummingbird and Golden-cheeked Warbler.
