The Biden White House has vowed to fill “every seat.” While tremendous progress has been made, there are still nearly 100 judicial vacancies, most of which don’t have a nominee in the queue. This is largely due to Republicans’ refusal to work with the White House and their use of the “blue slip” to unilaterally tank Biden’s court picks from their home states. Filling as many seats as possible before November 2024 is vital to counter the conservative takeover of the courts under the Trump administration. With so many things pulling the White House’s attention, we must keep the pressure on. And with you, we CAN.
