Throughout my 20 years of serving as FRC's president, I have witnessed the FRC team and many supporters like you applying their gifts and abilities to advance our mission -- to serve the kingdom of God by championing faith, family, and freedom in public policy and the culture from a biblical worldview.

It reminds me of Paul's analogy to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) that likened the body of Christ to a human body -- each part has a different function but works together as a whole to glorify God.

I am grateful for the many believers who have obeyed God and said "yes" to advancing biblical truth in our culture over the years. We are witnessing the fruits of their labor through FRC's:

• Pastors Roundtables that help church leaders engage Christians biblically on political and cultural issues.
• Stand Courageous initiative, through which we have equipped thousands of men to be servant-leaders in their homes, churches, and communities.
• Community Impact Teams: a nationwide network of over 9,600 people committed to engaging the culture for Christ.
• Stand on the Word Bible reading plan and our Center for Biblical Worldview resources, created to inspire and equip thousands of believers to know and love the Scriptures.
• Media outlets like The Washington Stand and Washington Watch that provide news and commentary from a biblical worldview.

Family Research Council has a 40-year track record as a respected, go-to organization speaking on the moral and public issues that impact you and your loved ones.

But at FRC, we are not interested in simply making headlines... but instead making history.

Headlines are here today and gone tomorrow. History is here to stay. We may fade away and even be forgotten, but our prayer is that the Holy Spirit-guided work that we often quietly engage in will be felt for generations.

With God's help, this organization will never deviate from the foundation of truth -- the Word of God -- upon which we stand. We will not trade the eternal for the temporal. We will never bring reproach upon the name of Jesus. I will lead this organization in such a manner that honors the Lord. And we will never surrender to political correctness. We will never trade access or affirmation from others for the truth of God. And we will never apologize for speaking the truth, no matter how controversial the truth may be. We will never fly a white flag outside of Family Research Council. We will never surrender. We will never shrink into the shadows. We will never be silent. We will speak the truth.

John, the seeds we plant and nourish today are making possible what God will do through us to impact future generations.

Cultural renewal begins with biblical truth. If we want to see the family, the church, and our nation strengthened, it starts with His Word.

Will there be challenges? Yes. Are we fighting a spiritual battle? Absolutely. But our task is to obey God and not fear man (Acts 5:29).
