Every year, on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, people are called to take action by giving back and extending intentional kindness for the benefit of others. This can mean lending services or skills, contributing time and energy through volunteering, or making a monetary donation to important social causes.

Vote Mama is the only PAC in the country dedicated to building the political power of pro-choice Democratic moms by providing them with endorsements, resources, and support — before, during, and after their campaigns. We support moms who know what’s at stake and who will fight for our freedoms, our families, our children, our schools, and our communities.

We know that electing these mamas is key to achieving real policy change. But the political system isn’t designed for moms, so we help them break down the barriers they face while running for office and support them every step of the way.

This month’s election results are a precursor of the work we have ahead, as well as evidence of the power that this grassroots movement has: With our reproductive rights hanging in the balance, we succeeded in electing 44 pro-choice Democratic moms who will defend abortion access. Our Vote Mama candidates defeated extremist Moms for Liberty opponents in important school board races. And many of our election winners this year are the first women and/or moms to EVER hold their seats. Now, after these historic 2023 victories and as we jump right into preparations for the consequential 2024 election year, momentum is on our side. But that doesn’t mean we can let our guard down or take our foot off the gas. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. The GOP and their rich corporate allies are going to come at Democrats with a vengeance, and try to make sure far-right extremism gains more power in Washington and beyond.

If we’re going to continue blocking the GOP extremist agenda and compete with their wealthy corporate donors, it’s IMPERATIVE that we remain laser-focused and stay the course — which means investing early NOW in crucial battleground 2024 races. There is too much at stake to sit on the sidelines and let Republicans assault our rights.
