It’s true, there are some Giving Tuesday Grinches out there. 😉 I wanted to clear up some Love146 Giving Tuesday myths…
GIVING TUESDAY UPDATE: We’re at 27% of our Giving Tuesday fundraising goal, and have only hours to go! Right now, your donations are being doubled – make your donation now and have 2x the impact ➔
John,
Maybe you’ll be shocked to hear that Giving Tuesday isn’t everyone’s favorite day to check their email. I know! But it’s true, there are some Giving Tuesday Grinches out there. 😉 As a true fan of this day on the calendar, I wanted to clear up some Love146 Giving Tuesday myths…
You might be thinking, “Oh, Love146 is a big org. There are lots of people responding. My gift isn’t a big deal.” Fact: so far, 102 people have donated specifically to our Giving Tuesday campaign. You showing up today — yes you — YOU REALLY MATTER.
You might be thinking “Giving Tuesday is getting annoying… I’m so sick of this much volume in my inbox!” Fact: Well, ok — we can’t tell you how to feel. And you’re not wrong (this is a whole lotta emails). BUT, you should know the energy is UP here! Our team is actively reaching out to supporters and we’re *literally* cheering and sending emojis to one another as we see donations LIKE YOURS come through. As each donation comes through, you’re giving several Love146 staff an honest-to-goodness dopamine rush. More importantly, we can assure you that your support will help a child be safer, protected, and supported. THANK YOU!
Don’t be a Giving Tuesday Grinch. ❤️ Instead of believing these myths, allow your heart to grow 3 sizes today. We’re rooting for you!
Oh, PS: It just started snowing outside Love146 HQ and it’s ADORABLE. Happy Holidays!
Our goal this Giving Tuesday is to raise $204,000 to end child trafficking! Between 11/14 and 11/28, the first $102,000 donated to our Giving Tuesday campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a group of generous matching donors. This matching opportunity won’t last long: Give Today!
Founded in 2002, Love146 journeys alongside children impacted by trafficking today and prevents the trafficking of children tomorrow. We connect the dots to understand how vulnerability operates in the lives of children, and intervene both to care for survivors who have been harmed and ultimately to prevent harm from happening in the first place. Our work is achieved through the power of relationships and collaboration, listening to those with lived experience and diverse backgrounds, scaling proven practices, and challenging the systems that leave children vulnerable. Our prevention and survivor care work has impacted more than 70,000 young people. Our core commitment is to do what is best for children.
