With your help, over the last year, Power to Decide has continued to work diligently towards ensuring that all people have the power to decide. We have fought for policies that protect and promote reproductive well-being, such as over-the-counter birth control; and we’ve encouraged folks to start positive conversations with our #TalkingIsPower and #ThxBirthControl campaigns.

We are also empowering the next generation of champions through our newly launched Reproductive Well-Being Ambassador program, an initiative to empower young people at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Two of our ambassadors, Jalah and Mya, said of the program:

|
“We are inspired to participate in this ambassadorship to help a student-led group break down negative stigmas. College is a journey that encourages students to be curious about many facets of life. The repercussions of our judgments are frequently the result of a lack of knowledge. We want to start a movement of freedom for our peers to ask questions, learn about contraception, and get the help they need to be their healthiest selves.”

We believe in a future where all young people can pursue the future they want, realize their full potential, and follow their dreams. Everyone deserves to have control over their bodies and decide if, when and under what circumstances to get pregnant and have a child. Making this future a reality is an overwhelming task, but with your support, our small yet mighty team continues to be up for the challenge.
