The National Women’s Law Center’s focus on the courts is right there in the name. But what does that really mean in the fight for gender justice? It means:
* being on the leading edge of every major legal or policy victory for women since 1972
* litigating cases representing student survivors, defending victims of workplace sexual harassment, fighting for equal pay, advocating for fertility coverage for LGBTQIA+ patients, and protecting people trying to access abortion
* fighting for a more diverse court system across the country, and holding judges accountable for their behavior, all the way up the Supreme Court
* doing everything we can to undo dangerous and unconstitutional decisions like Dobbs while also working to pass laws that protect and expand our right to health care, workplace safety, education without discrimination, and more
Your support makes this work possible [[link removed]] —and this work matters . NWLC has protected women seeking emergency abortion care even in states with severe abortion restrictions. We’re in court right now, fighting against LGBTQIA+ discrimination by insurance companies, and protecting students from sexual harassment. We launched the Abortion Access Legal Defense Fund, to help people facing legal expenses because they’ve sought or supported abortion care post- Roe . And with major Supreme Court cases on gender-affirming health care, abortion access, and voting rights likely coming up in 2024, what happens next could impact the future of our rights for years to come.
So please, join us with a $50 gift before our match expires at midnight. [[link removed]]
When the work seems daunting, it is the support and commitment of people like you that gives me hope, John. Thank you for all you do to work for a more just and equitable future for all.
Sincerely,
