Team,

Year after year, ultra-rich CEOs extract massive pay raises for themselves even as many of the workers they employ – the folks who keep their companies growing – scrimp and save to make ends meet. Workers’ wages have not adequately reflected their massive productivity gains over the past four decades – those gains are getting gobbled up at the very top of the corporate ladder.

There is simply no justification for a CEO to make hundreds of times what the average worker at their company is earning. That’s why I’ve introduced the Curtailing Executive Overcompensation Act, or the “CEO Act.”

The CEO Act will charge companies that pay CEOs 50+ times what they pay their median worker. Last year, it would have raised over $10 billion from the 100 largest U.S. companies alone.

If you support my work to tackle inequality, please help me to keep it up by chipping in to my reelection campaign before the end of the month.

My bill is a win-win for American workers and for our democracy. I believe our system of allowing runaway CEO pay leaves too many working families behind. If you agree, I hope you’ll chip in to our campaign before November’s end-of-month deadline.
