Dear Supporter,

I am writing to inform you that AMP has decided to postpone its 6th annual Palestine Advocacy Day (PAD) previously scheduled for March 22-24, 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This morning, Washington, DC government officials recommended that all non-essential mass gatherings, including conferences and conventions, be postponed or canceled through the end of March. We take the health and safety of everyone very seriously. 

The good news though is that we have confirmed new dates for PAD between September 13-15, 2020. We know that Palestine can count on you. And we know that we can count on you. It’s because of your support that we were able to achieve new milestones in our preparations for PAD this year as explained below. We want to keep the momentum and with your help we will.   

We know that many of you will be disappointed and possibly even upset by this decision. Believe us: we are too. This year we had record-breaking registrations and for the first time ever scheduled many meetings with Members of Congress directly. As of today, we had confirmed more than 15 meetings with Senators and Representatives themselves, and over 70 with senior staff in other congressional offices. We had four Members of Congress who confirmed their participation in our forum and closing ceremony -- all that and we were still two weeks away from the event! We will postpone all these meetings to September, and we will have many more meetings by then as well. 

We were so excited to welcome many hundreds of participants to our nation’s capital for what would have been the best Palestine Advocacy Day yet! We are postponing the event only with a heavy heart, and we promise you to do our best to make it a better experience and a more effective one for Palestine on the new dates between September 13 - 15, 2020. We trust in God and we know that He knows best, and we will make sure that we do everything possible to make things easier for you to join us in the fall.
