** Leadership
------------------------------------------------------------
In this week’s Leadership newsletter, we look at how experimentation, practice, and sheer determination can bring about change. First, a concerning pattern is emerging of Black women leaving leadership roles. A new report from the Washington Area Women’s Foundation aims to address what Black women leaders need to thrive. Next, there is an epidemic of missing Black women and girls in the United States. Recent policy wins on the issue are thanks to decades of advocacy and amplification by Black women. Then, a group of nonprofits with the Nonprofit Democracy Network are exploring how to build radically democratic organizations—and a report from their Collaborate to Co-Liberate project sheds light on what they’ve learned. Finally, on December 14th, NPQ offers a webinar on pay equity and the tools needed to help organizations rethink compensation and more fully embody their values.
