The latest: Israel and Hamas agreed to extend the truce.

Israel and Hamas have agreed to a 48-hour extension of the truce, allowing for more hostage exchanges and humanitarian aid to flow to Gaza. As of Monday morning, Hamas freed 39 Israeli hostages and 17 non-Israelis. Israel freed 117 Palestinian prisoners.

Three U.S. students of Palestinian descent were shot near the University of Vermont on Saturday. An investigation was opened to determine whether the shooting was a hate crime.

Violent far-right riots hit Dublin following knife attack

Following a knife attack at a school in Dublin that left three children injured, rumors spread that the perpetrator was a foreigner, prompting far-right demonstrators to take to the streets looting and rioting. Authorities characterized the demonstrations as anti-immigration.
