Hi John,
Giving Tuesday is here — a time when activists and allies like you take a quick break from holiday shopping and consider charitable donations to causes you care about.
Today, donate $50 to Advocates for Youth to support young people working for reproductive and sexual health and rights.
This year, I’m incredibly grateful for the young people across the country who are organizing in their communities and doing the work to move this country forward. We have faced so many challenges in 2023, and young people are meeting them all even as their work, their values, and their very identities are under attack.
Young people’s activism and testimony was crucial in the FDA’s decision to grant over-the-counter status to a birth control pill this year. Their work has led to medication abortion being available on state college campuses in multiple states, with more on the horizon. Youth activists are speaking up and walking out to protest transphobic and homophobic policies around the country. As President of Advocates for Youth, it’s my honor to work alongside them.
It’s clear that young people’s leadership and vision are essential to defeating the agenda of harm that so many politicians have committed to. Your donation helps provide training, resources, and support for youth leaders around the country as they organize and mobilize. Advocates’ youth leaders are:
- Fighting abortion bans and providing travel and housing support to people who need abortion care.
- Working to ensure LGBTQ+ people are safe and welcomed in their schools and communities.
- Pushing the Biden Administration to update Trump-era Title IX rules to ensure that survivors of sexual assault are able to pursue education.
And much more. Advocates for Youth’s mission is to build a pipeline of young leaders who will move this country forward, not backward.
Please donate $50 to Advocates for Youth today to ensure youth activists can keep up the fight.
Thank you for your support,
Debra Hauser
