Because of the limitations of animal welfare laws, our litigation and legislative campaigns are often our clients’ only hope for a future where they can live freely and with peace and dignity. We’ve already made strides toward securing fundamental legal rights for animals—including passing the first legislation in the US to protect the rights of a nonhuman animal in Ojai, CA—and we’re building momentum for even more progress in 2024.
