Donald Trump and his legal team are appealing the judge’s ruling in our Colorado 14th Amendment lawsuit that he incited the January 6th insurrection.

But we’re fighting back. Oral arguments are scheduled for next Wednesday, December 6th, before the Colorado Supreme Court—the case is moving quickly.

We’re determined to make sure that Trump is held accountable for the enormous damage he did to our democracy—and to ensure that he is not given the opportunity to cause further harm by appearing on the ballot.

Today is Giving Tuesday. And with our legal battle to remove Trump from the ballot continuing, a loyal supporter has stepped in to increase our match to $50,000 for today only.

I’ll tell you more about our work, but first I need to ask you if you can make a matched donation on this Giving Tuesday before the match expires at midnight → [[link removed]]

This lawsuit has been one of CREW’s most challenging efforts in our twenty year history — but also one of the most important.

During our trial, we called expert witnesses to speak to the ways that extremist groups respond to coded messages promoting violence, as well as the powers a president could use to respond to an attack on the Capitol. We called officers from the DC Metropolitan Police and US Capitol Police, and a leading voice in Congress, to testify about the violence they experienced at the Capitol on January 6th. We called the lead investigator for the House Select Committee on the January 6th attack.

Because of them, and because of the lawsuit brought by our courageous plaintiffs, the judge agreed: Donald Trump incited an insurrection.

This lawsuit is going to the next level now, and CREW will continue to do what we do best: use aggressive legal action to hold politicians accountable.

Our team at CREW will always do everything we can to root out corruption and push for accountability. But this case is proof that none of us can protect our democracy alone. Together, we can safeguard our democracy, and build a better, fairer republic that works for all of us.

So I’m hoping that today, you will make a matched Giving Tuesday donation to help CREW continue all our work. From holding Trump accountable to fighting for Supreme Court ethics reform, our work is more important than ever.
