Hi Friend, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin here to tell you why I need an ally like Eric Sorensen in Congress.

Legislating isn’t easy, but we manage to get things done in the Senate.

If you contrast that with what’s going on with the House of Representatives, they can’t pass any bills. The Republican leadership can’t get their act together, are more concerned with infighting at a time the American people need real leadership to solve the real problems we face.

The House needs representatives like Eric, who clearly has our constituents’ best interests at heart. He’s been a reliable ally in our work for the people of Illinois -- on substantive issues like clean water investments, supporting the renewable energy transition, and so much more.

Unfortunately, National Republicans are launching endless attacks on Eric, and a new NRCC-backed opponent just announced a bid to try and flip his seat red. Because Eric was just elected, they see him as a top target to go after in their effort to keep the House in their control.

Please send in $5 ahead of the end-of-month deadline to keep Eric in Congress and boost our chances of retaking the House.

The National Republican Party isn’t interested right now in what’s best for our constituents, as these unnecessary speaker fights and funding showdowns make clear.

With five seats determining control of the House, that chamber will be won or lost in races like Eric’s.

We did an incredible job getting him across the finish line in 2022,  and early resources are crucial to building momentum to hold this seat. So I hope you'll chip in to Eric's campaign today:

Before the end of November, send in $5 or more to Eric’s campaign. Every dollar given today will go directly to work keeping IL-17 — and Congress — blue.

Thank you for your support,

Dick Durbin
