I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:
No more watered-down border security
Earlier this year, House Republicans passed the Secure the Border Act (H.R. 2) – the strongest border legislation this institution has ever seen. However, Senate Republicans are now pushing a compromise that waters down key provisions in H.R. 2 in pursuit of a “deal” on Ukraine funding. Republicans must stand united – we cannot negotiate against ourselves.
Restoring our military
House Republicans secured major conservative wins in its annual defense bill, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). We included measures to end Biden’s abortion travel fund, stop taxpayer funded gender transition surgeries, slash funding for Biden’s radical climate agenda, and more. While our bill secures wins for the American people, Chuck Schumer’s bill continues to fund Biden’s woke agenda he’s trying to push on our service men and women. House GOP under Speaker Johnson will have to fight for a mission-first military as the House and Senate put forward final text for the NDAA. The American people put us in charge of this body to check Biden’s radical policies – we must hold the line.
