1) Alberta Invokes Sovereignty Clause to Block Canada’s Anti-Fossil Fuel Regs
Wow! The populist revolt against central government lunacy and tyranny that we saw explode in Argentina is spreading. The province of Alberta, Canada has invoked the Canadian Sovereignty Act in defiance of zero-emission green energy mandates enacted in Ottawa. Alberta residents say these regulations will undermine their ability to produce electric power and thus their security.

We urge you to watch the video below of our new hero Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, who in announcing the province’s intention to ignore the federal mandates, calls Ottawa’s attack on reliable fossil fuels “absurd, Illogical, unscientific and unconstitutional.” (Why aren’t more American politicians saying that??)

[link removed]
Last year the western province passed a controversial law rejecting federal sovereignty. Now the fed-up citizens are acting upon it.

Alberta is a province with nearly 4.5 million people and a region with vast amounts of shale oil and gas. Energy production is the major economic engine of the region, and natural gas is what keeps the lights on. The radical environmentalists want to shut it down.

2) Democrats STILL Haven't Learned Lessons of the Kennedy Tax Cuts
The national Democrats continue to denounce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his policy ideas and for exiting the party. The truth is the party that once stood for the principles of his famous father (RFK) and uncle (JFK) booted him out. As Ronald Reagan put it: “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party; the party left me.”

As RFK Jr. explains his run as an independent: "I'm a traditional Democrat, and … part of my mission here is to summon the Democratic Party back to its traditional ideals," Kennedy says.

Sadly, that party doesn’t exist anymore.

Back in JFK’s time, Democrats fought against socialism/communism, union and government corruption, fought for prosperity, lower taxes, civil rights, and civil liberties.

RFK says he learned from his uncle that “tax rate cuts incentivize growth.” JFK cut tax rates by 30% and almost all Democrats back then supported the measure. The economy and revenues exploded.

[link removed]
Today Democrats want to raise tax rates not lower them.

We don’t agree with RFK Jr.'s environmental positions, but we admire his courage in calling out the Democrats for fleeing from their former convictions. He’s right on half the issues – which puts him way ahead of most Democrats in Washington today.

3) The Shift Away From Racial Quotas Is Accelerating
We’ve written a lot about how corporate America has been steering away from ESG social and environmental investing under pressure from CTUP and shareholders.

Now we may be seeing the same happen in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).

“2023 has undeniably shifted the DEI landscape for years to come,” concludes a report from the pro-DEI consulting firm Paradigm after surveying 148 clients. “External forces are no longer pushing companies to invest in DEI, instead, in some cases, external forces are pushing back on companies investment in DEI.”

[link removed]
Key to its findings is last June’s Supreme Court decision striking down the explicit use of race in university admissions. Since then, lawsuits against two law firms that operated fellowships limited to minorities or LGBTQ+ applicants resulted in the firms abandoning the programs. Other firms are dropping DEI internships before they are sued.

A group of 13 state attorneys general have written Fortune 100 companies suggesting they reconsider programs “with explicit racial quotas.” Paradigm reports that the lawsuits and letters “will have significant downstream consequences for years to come.”

We are all for efforts to have more inclusive workplaces and outreach programs to have a wide applicant pool. However, DEI efforts to mandate racial hiring are not only unconstitutional but destructive of the colorblind ideals of civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr.

4) How Is It That Gas Costs $2 a Gallon More in California Than in Florida?
We can’t wait for the big red state v. blue state debate featuring Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newson. They are both leading presidential wannabes – if not in 2024 then certainly in 2028. Almost one-fifth of all Americans (62 million) live in one of the two states. Our friend Sean Hannity will be moderating the debate on Fox News at 9 pm eastern this Thursday (Nov. 30).

[link removed]
If this is a debate on substance, not style, DeSantis will win in a cakewalk.

Here’s just one amazing contrast between the two states. In Florida today the price of gas is $3 a gallon. In California, it’s $5 a gallon for regular unleaded. California imposes high taxes and regulatory clean air laws in CA raise the price too. But here’s what’s even more amazing: even though California is all in on green energy, the air quality is better in Florida than in California. Go figure.

5) Former Health Official Admits to China Lab Leak Cover Up
Remember when the left went crazy when Trump called COVID the Wuhan virus? It was said to be a crazy Trump conspiracy theory. Now we have more evidence that the real conspiracy was covering up China’s role in the spread of this deadly virus.

Former HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response Bob Kadlec admits conspiring with Anthony Fauci to downplay COVID China lab-leak theory.

“I wake up at usually about 2 or 3am and think about it honestly, because it’s something that we all played a role in,” Dr Kadlec says.

The confession comes, oddly, on an Australian TV channel – perhaps because it is not considered newsworthy by the US networks.

[link removed]
We'll never know whether the panicked lockdown response to COVID would have been any better if the potential of a lab leak origin hadn't been covered up. But the suppression of the lab-leak theory is just one of the many important things the elites got wrong: school closures, lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, monoclonal antibodies rationed for "equity," etc.

Perhaps our health officials would have made fewer catastrophic mistakes if they hadn't been so concerned with covering up that the virus may have come from a US-funded lab in Wuhan.

6) Stop the Sub Sandwich Monopoly!!
Here’s the latest example of the lunacy of the Biden FTC crusade against supposed monopolies.

Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren is praising the FTC for investigating whether the parent company of Jimmy John's buying Subway will create a dangerous SANDWICH MONOPOLY.

[link removed]
It is unclear to us how Warren thinks a combined Jimmy John's/Subway would prevent millions of other businesses from combining pieces of bread with meats and cheeses.
