When we talk about the health of migrants, we aren’t speaking solely about the health challenges mounting from their active migration. Migration is often messy and nonlinear, with migrants moving several times, settling briefly and moving on, returning to their country of origin, moving again. And the health risks they face at every step of the way are growing. Throughout migrants’ lives – in their country of origin, during their migration trip or trips, and, more and more frequently, after they’ve settled down in the US – migrants face significant health and well-being challenges from climate change.
Migrant Clinicians Network is responding to the climate crisis by equipping communities to prepare for and respond to climate crises, mapping out needs and responses to those who are most vulnerable, like newly arrived migrants. And we need your help.
