2023 is set to be the hottest year on record. Our planet is getting dangerously hot, dangerously fast. And it’ll keep heating up if we don’t crack on with phasing out coal, oil and gas.

The good news is the solutions exist. For a start, we can get off fossil fuels and switch to cheap, clean renewables. But we need your support to keep tackling the root causes of the climate crisis.

Today we’re launching the Big Give Christmas Challenge to raise £160,000. These funds will power our campaign to make sure the UK government fulfils its climate promises and legally binding commitments.

Your donation could help us take on the government in court to stop new fossil fuel projects going ahead. And to use the law to make it revise its climate strategy so it's as strong as possible.

The UK is currently off track to cut the carbon emissions it promised by 2030. At the same time, it’s giving the go-ahead for new fossil fuel sites.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

Together, with your help, we’ve helped stop new UK investment in fossil fuel projects abroad.

We’ve supported community groups to campaign against coal mines.

And you also helped us win a court victory last year over the government’s weak climate strategy. We’re now taking it to court again because its revised strategy is still not good enough.
