Trump claims he mixed up Obama and Biden in speeches on purpose and got a "perfect score" on another elementary cognitive exam
The serially indicted ex-president finally addressed questions concerning his cognitive decline, insisting that his frequent mistakes at recent speeches — in which he appeared to not know who the current president is or who he ran against in 2016 — were, in fact, intentional (of course!) before bragging (again) about acing a simple cognitive test that a child could pass. Very stable genius! [RETWEET THAT!]

VIDEO OF THE DAY: White House humiliates obnoxious Fox News reporter
One of Fox News' random not Tucker Carlsons barked out a silly gotcha question hoping to catch President Biden off guard but only managed a cringeworthy self-own with cameras conveniently running.

Corporate jagoffs have no place in Congress
Chris Deluzio for Congress: Chris is running for reelection in one of the most competitive districts in the nation. His GOP extremist opponents have sided with corporate jagoffs over the American people. We can't let them win. Will you chip in today to flip the House blue and get America back on track?
Senate Democrats meet with IDF officials for "extremely frank" discussion of Israel-Hamas war
A group of Senate Democrats met with senior-level Israel Defense Forces officials Monday evening in the Capitol to discuss the Israel-Hamas war and concerns about the exploding humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii described the conversation as "extremely frank," adding, "We just want to be assured that they are abiding by American values as they try to dismantle Hamas, and we all conveyed that collectively and clearly. I do believe they heard us, but obviously we have a long way to go."

Cyberattack on US hospitals diverts ambulances from emergency rooms in multiple states
A cyberattack that diverted ambulances from hospitals in East Texas on Thanksgiving Day is more widespread than previously known and has also forced hospitals in New Jersey, New Mexico, and Oklahoma to reroute ambulances. All of the affected hospitals are owned, or partly owned, by Ardent Health Services, a Tennessee-based company operating in at least five states. It’s just the latest example of how the scourge of ransomware — which locks computers so hackers can demand a fee — has disrupted services at healthcare providers since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. As if American healthcare wasn't enough of a nightmare already.

Israel-Hamas truce in Gaza extended two days; 11 more hostages freed
The pause in fighting between Israel and Hamas was on the verge of expiring before both parties agreed to a crucial two-day extension, raising the prospect that the Palestinian terrorist group will free additional hostages beyond the 69 released since Friday and badly needed humanitarian aid will continue flowing into Gaza. The welcomed lull in fighting will, at least for the moment, reduce some of the mass human suffering and death that has devastated the region since the October 7 terror attacks and ensuing war.

Paris mayor quits Elon's X, calling it a "gigantic global sewer"
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said what we're all thinking about what billionaire tech bozo Elon Musk has done to the social media platform formerly known as Twitter and correctly pointed out that it's "destroying our democracies." The sooner it gets a new owner, the better.

Two women arrested for assaulting Jewish New Yorker in hostage poster spat
In yet another incident of disturbing xenophobic violence flaring up since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, two women have been handed hate-crime charges after reportedly assaulting a Jewish woman in New York City who criticized them for tearing down posters displaying Israeli hostages taken by Hamas during the Oct. 7 terror attack. The pair have been accused of violently attacking the victim, knocking her phone out of her hand, and ripping off her Star of David necklace.
Trump attorneys announce plans to call disgraced ex-president to the witness stand in his civil fraud

Trump tells appeals court that threats to judge and clerk in New York civil fraud trial do not justify gag order
Despite a stream of death threats flooding Judge Engoron following Trump's repeated public attacks, the disgraced ex-president and his attorneys are arguing that nothing can "justify" muzzling him and insist that his deranged, conspiratorial Truth Social rants about his massive, ongoing civil case are protected by the First Amendment. Trump's future former lawyers filed a request to continue pausing the gag order against him, arguing that the serial grifter himself never personally threatened the judge or his law clerk and thus cannot be held responsible for the actions of his followers — despite the fact that his tirades are clearly inspiring the harassment.
Trump loses bid for Jan. 6 subpoenas in election case
Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan denied a request by the serial grifter to subpoena records related to the select House committee that investigated Trump's failed Jan. 6 insurrection, calling his latest efforts a "fishing expedition" with only a "vague description of their potential relevance." Are we tired of winning yet, folks?
