Make a Difference Challenge: Final Day!

Dear John,

Giving Tuesday is here, and that means it's the last day of our
Make a Difference Challenge. Will we reach the goal of 100 gifts of
any size by midnight? 

Your gift today, big or small, will benefit children and youth like
Brooklyn and Adam, who participated in a Children's Defense Fund
(CDF) Freedom Schools® program:

"This program exposed Brooklyn to books with characters that
relate to her. In the book Imani's Moon, she was able to see an
African girl who looked like her, who had a big dream and worked hard
to reach her goals. It was an incredible message that she really
internalized. It is this type of exposure that really helps develop a
love of literacy."

"Other summer programs focus on just babysitting us. Freedom
Schools actually teaches kids. We learn in a way that when we go back
to school we don't forget things. Instead of forcing education
and facts into us, we learn through books and discussions."
-Adam, age 13

Your gift provides space for children and youth to grow and dream. It
also equips Children's Defense Fund to uplift them at federal
and state levels, advocating for their needs.
