On This Giving Tuesday, Support EMET's Hard Work

** Support EMET's Mission This Giving Tuesday - A Vital Call for Support
------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Supporter of Israel,
Israel is at war. Throughout the 30 years since the Oslo Accords, we have seen this coming. We have warned against the embrace of Yasser Arafat. We warned against his incitement to hate and to kill Jews. We warned against the 2005 Gaza withdrawal and the displacement of 8,000 Jews there. We have warned that the Palestinian Authority is despised in Judea and Samaria, or the West Bank. And we have warned against our appeasement of Iran.
We wish we would have been wrong all along.
We are distraught that Israel must go through these perilous times.
We feel for the hostages and their families and are profoundly moved by the images of the reunification of some of them. Yet over 100 other hostages are left—somewhere in the underground metro system of the tunnel, a city beneath Gaza—and we fear for their lives.
Just as we fear for the military consequences of this ceasefire, which we feel might allow for Hamas to regroup.
As we commemorate Giving Tuesday, a day that celebrates generosity and compassion, we extend an invitation to you to partner with EMET in our unwavering commitment to advocacy for Israel and the fight against antisemitism.
EMET, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been a xxxxxx in Washington DC, tirelessly working to educate and enlighten members of Congress and their staff about the multifaceted challenges that Israel confronts and the rising tide of antisemitism affecting the American Jewish community.
Since the monstrous assault on our people on October 7th, our work has become more crucial than ever, ensuring American support for and commitment to Israel is not affected by the rising hate of our people within certain quarters of our population.
Our work at EMET is more than a mere campaign; it is a mission crucial to the sustenance of democratic values, human rights, and the preservation of a truth that is often overshadowed by misinformation and bias.
Israel, a beacon of democracy in an extremely tumultuous region, faces existential challenges—these range from security threats by Iran and its proxies to the need for sustained diplomatic support. Israel today is facing a multifront war in which our enemies seek to kill every Israeli.
Here at home, supporters of terrorism and genocide are sparing no effort to obfuscate the truth and mobilize more hatred against Israel and the Jewish people. EMET's role is pivotal in ensuring that the policymakers in Capitol Hill are well-informed, enabling them to make decisions that are not just beneficial for Israel, but also beneficial to the national security interest of the United States; decisions that align with our broader ideals of peace, stability, and democracy that the United States cherishes.
Moreover, the alarming rise of antisemitism, both domestically and globally, necessitates a resolute response. Through our educational and advocacy efforts, EMET is at the forefront of this battle, striving to create an environment where Jewish communities can live free from fear and prejudice, particularly within our educational institutions. During this 118th Congress, EMET's hard work culminated in the introduction of the bi-partisan Antisemitism Awareness Act (HR 6090) by Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Rep. Richie Torres (D-NY), seeking to provide more protection for Jewish and Zionist students on college campuses, the modern-day hotbeds of anti-Jewish hatred. Our daily initiatives include organizing briefings, providing expert testimonies, and creating informative materials that shed light on the complexities of antisemitism in its various forms.
This Giving Tuesday, your support is more crucial than ever. Your generosity will empower us to:
1. Enhance our educational programs for Congressional members and their staff, ensuring they are equipped with accurate and comprehensive information about Israel and the challenges it faces.
2. Expand our outreach and promote awareness and understanding within the broader community.
3. Develop and distribute educational materials that provide nuanced insights into Arab political thought, Arab intellectual history, and Islamic history, fostering a more informed and balanced discourse.
Your contribution, whether large or small, is a powerful statement of solidarity and commitment to these causes. It enables EMET to continue its vital work, ensuring that the voices advocating for Israel and against antisemitism are heard loud and clear in the halls of power.
