Dear John,
For four decades, FRC has endeavored to build our organization "on the rock" (Matthew 7:24-26) -- placing our feet on the solid foundation of God's Word.
That foundation was laid when Jerry Regier, Dr. James Dobson, and a small group of men gathered for prayer in Washington, D.C., after attending President Jimmy Carter's White House Conference on Families. Although they had seen many policy organizations in attendance for every issue imaginable, no voice was advocating for the most important institution in America -- the family as designed by God.
Rather than lament the situation and throw up their hands, they brought their need before God and said "yes" to His plans. The rest, as they say, is history -- a 40-year history we celebrate today because of God's immeasurable faithfulness!
Today, FRC stands as a unique and trusted voice in the heart of our nation's capital, bringing a biblical worldview to bear on pressing issues of public policy that affect our faith, families, and freedom.
We understand that to turn the tide in America, we must focus in the years ahead on discipling the next generation to know and stand for biblical truth. But we need your help, John.
Will you partner with us TODAY in saying "yes" to what God has in this next season for FRC as we educate and equip believers to raise up spiritual champions?
Today is #GivingTuesday, which means for the next few hours your tax-deductible gift will have double the impact thanks to a $150,000 Challenge Match provided by generous friends of FRC!
And if you sign-up to become a monthly STAND member for $20 or more before midnight tonight, you'll receive a free copy of Dr. George Barna's newest book, Raising Spiritual Champions: Nurturing Your Child's Heart, Mind and Soul as a token of our appreciation in addition to your other membership benefits.
DOUBLE MY GIFT TODAY
I recently had the opportunity to ask Dr. Dobson his perspective on what Christians need to be doing at this critical hour. His answer was simple:
Standing firm. I think our country is in great jeopardy. The things that are taking place right now are breathtaking to me. You know, there hasn't been a time in the history of this country, except the Civil War, when we have been so divided, and there's been so much hatred and wickedness and people calling good evil and evil good. We have got to be salt and light in a dark and stormy culture.
In these volatile times, we must remain people who are firmly planted on the promises and principles of the Word of God.
There is evil in the world, but we can have hope because of the good God is doing. In a parable in Matthew 13, Jesus warned his disciples that the wheat and tares would grow together -- and that is what we see today. We must be mindful of the weeds, but our calling is to focus on the wheat -- the harvest!
And there is so much good that you and I are working toward, such as:
- Protecting babies in the womb (building on the foundation of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade),
- Countering indoctrination in schools that pushes dangerous ideologies onto students,
- Advocating for parental rights and advancing legislation like SAFE Acts that protect children from "gender-affirming" procedures that mutilate their bodies,
- Defending everyone's freedom to hold religious beliefs of their own choosing and to live in accordance with those beliefs,
- And so much more.
Now is the time to stand firm! Will you pray and ask God how He is leading you to partner with us for the sake of our children and grandchildren?
DOUBLE MY IMPACT
Although informing the American public about these issues via our news outlets is key to our strategy, FRC is not merely commenting from a distance and hoping for a good outcome.
We are engaged with federal, state, and local governments across the nation. We also actively build and maintain relationships with legislators to provide spiritual encouragement and helpful, biblically informed counsel and solutions to pressing issues.
And through our nationwide Association of Churches and Ministries and our Center for Biblical Worldview, we inform and equip pastors and parents across America to disciple the next generation.
Since 1983, FRC has committed to being a part of the solution. We are standing with your family because we believe that the family is worth fighting for.
And this is where we need you. Will you continue to stand with us, say "yes," and be part of the solution? If you act now, your gift of $35, $75, $150, or even $500 or more will be doubled thanks to the #GivingTuesday Challenge Match.
Along with your generous gift, please commit to praying with us this next season. We must multiply our reach to engage Christians to pray, vote, and stand for biblical truth.
Thank you in advance for saying "yes!" Your faithful prayers and financial support have enabled FRC to amplify your voice for 40 years. Here's to 40 more, by the grace of God and for eternity!
