John,
Yesterday, I shared about the first 24 survivors receiving assistance from the Polaris Resilience Fund.
Their median annual income is $17,176, supporting an average of two people.
No matter where you live in the country, that’s nowhere near enough to cover basic expenses like food and housing. And for survivors, that means we can’t get the resources we need to recover, whether it’s healthcare to heal from trauma or legal services to get criminal records cleared and credit repaired.
Will you come alongside us?
We are also learning that many Resilience Fund recipients have little to no social support — no one they can ask for help.
This Giving Tuesday, I’m reaching out to you on their behalf. Today, your gift will be tripled for programs like the Resilience Fund and the National Human Trafficking Hotline — giving survivors the ability to make their own choices about meeting their needs.
