Today is Giving Tuesday, the biggest day of giving back ALL year! We’ve set out to raise $300,000 by midnight so we can train 5,000 eager athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID). It’s a massive goal that would literally change thousands of lives, and here’s the best part:

It’s hard to find a sport Jessica from Special Olympics Southern California isn’t excited about – or doesn’t excel in! Her favorites are swimming and bocce, but you’ll find her training her heart out in softball, track, and golf, too. But more than the amazing chances to participate in these games and competitions, Jessica considers Special Olympics to be her “big circle of friends.”

“I’m just like everybody else,” she says. Jessica wants people to focus not on her disability but rather her “ability to help other families” and people with Down syndrome in the Special Olympics community.
