5 States, $5: Room for All has rostered congregations in 5 US states (plus one online community based out of Kobe, Japan). In California, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, and New York, congregations are fully affirming the gifts, identities, and personhood of God's LGBTQIA+ children. We celebrate these congregations and their ministries, and invite you to celebrate with a gift of $5 or more ([link removed]) !
18 years of RfA, $18: Beginning with a trial in June 2005, Room for All began as a support group for LGBTQIA+ folks and their allies who had been harmed by the church. 18 years later, we've flourished into an organization that joyfully celebrates queer identities and God's love for all Her children across the RCA! Will you help us celebrate these 18 years and look towards the next 18 with a gift of $18 or more on Giving Tuesday ([link removed]) ? 50 years of Women's Ordination, $50: Although women's gifts have been vital from the very beginning, it wasn't until the 1970's that ordination was opened to them. First for the offices of elder and deacon, then seven years later, the office of Minister of Word and Sacrament, the General Synod of 2023 celebrated 50 years of finally recognizing women's gifts for ordained ministry! A precursor in many regards to the movement for LGBTQIA+ equity in the RCA, we invite you to celebrate with a gift of $50
([link removed]) ! 100% of Queer Seminarians, $100: LGBTQIA+ students have attended seminary and sought ordination in the RCA for many decades. Queer individuals have sought to answer God's call on their lives, but many have faced outrageous roadblocks placed in their way. Room for All will continue to advocate for students to realize the dream of 100% of queer seminarians being able to follow their call with a gift of $100 on Giving Tuesday ([link removed]) ! 300 Rostered Ministers, $300: When RfA launched the Roster of Affirming Ministers on October 18, 2016, we received 50 signatories that first day! In the seven years since that moment, it's been a slowly but surely growing list of names of those ordained Ministers of Word and Sacrament in the RCA who recognize God's affirmation of LGBTQIA+ individuals. We celebrate the 300+ names who are or have been on this list, and invite you to honor them by making a gift of $300 today
