Today is a day to support the efforts of those who work every day to achieve a just and equitable world where everyone can thrive. At the SPLC, we are eternally grateful for all who join us in our mission to combat racial and economic injustice in the Deep South and beyond. While we’ve made some important strides this year, the fight for equity is far from over. Your support helps us lead the charge towards an inclusive society where everyone has a right to liberation and equal opportunity. On this Giving Tuesday, all donations made until midnight will be matched by a generous group of donors, dollar for dollar. In 2023, we were shown that hate still corrodes the very fabric of our communities. The number of reported hate crimes continues to rise, anti-inclusive education is trending in local school boards and state legislatures strip away many of our rights every legislative session. For over 50 years, the SPLC has disrupted these white supremacist tactics through legal action, community efforts to increase voter participation among people of color and the distribution of inclusive educational resources for teachers. All of this was made possible by supporters like you, but we need your recommitment to help us combat anti-democratic tactics in 2024.
