CBP Memo Orders Agents Not to Misgender 'Members of the Public'
- An internal U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) memo obtained by the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project prohibits agents from using "he, him, she, her" pronouns when initially interacting with members of the public.
- “Do not use 'he, him, she, her' pronouns until you have more information about, or provided by, the individual," reads the memo.
- The memo encourages agents to use "a universal greeting, such as 'Good Morning' or ‘Good Evening’ in the initial greeting." The memo states, "If an incorrect pronoun is used and corrected by the individual, acknowledge the oversight and use the correct pronoun.”
- Border Patrol deals with more illegal aliens than any entity in the federal government. This forced language guidance is designed to coddle illegal aliens.
- Customs and Border Patrol agents should be allowed to do their job and prevent all illegal immigration, not used as pawns in some sick social experiment.

Congress Must Address the D.C. City Council’s Pro-Criminal Policies
- There has been over 900 carjackings in D.C. this year and the reason is simple: criminals have a green light to commit crimes because the city leaders tolerate a culture of violence.
- The D.C. City Council passed a revised criminal code this past January of that was so radical that bipartisan majorities of both houses of Congress and even President Biden rejected it.
- DC Superior Court judges fail to send violent criminals to prison in most cases, causing a vicious revolving door of crime.
- DC City Council has defunded the Metropolitan Police Department by millions of dollars, exacerbating an already dangerous staffing crisis for the department.
- But just because the City Council failed does not mean that the criminal code in the District does not need to be reformed. It simply means that it should be reformed by other people — in this case, Congress.
- In drafting a new code, Congress has the chance to show cities around the country how to take on crime with commonsense, bipartisan policies.

The Left Is Bleeding Hispanic Support — and They Know It
- The Spanish-language network Univision interviewed former President Donald Trump this month and allowed him to respond to questions without interruption or personal attacks.
- So, of course, leftist Latino groups, terrified this shift reflects the changing political views of Univision’s audience, are throwing a hissy fit.
- More than 70 Democratic Party-affiliated groups and some individuals, including the actor John Leguizamo, have signed a letter crying foul. This includes left-of-the-left groups such as La Raza (now going by the name UnidosUS), the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
- A few of conservatives of Hispanic descent, including Heritage Foundation Senior Fellow Mike Gonzalez, sent their own letter to Wade Davis and the other Univision executives cautioning them to ignore the leftist criticism.
- Trump won almost 40% of their vote in 2020, a modern high-water mark. The Washington Post recently put Hispanic support for Trump at an unheard-of 42%.
- The leftist groups are trying desperately to stem the tide of growing Hispanic support for the former president.
