Dear friends and supporters:
Today, Giving Tuesday, is one of the biggest days of the year for nonprofits like VoteWater. A lot of groups are likely asking for your support today; many are doing fantastic work.
But few can get involved in the political arena, where so much of the fight for clean water takes place.
VoteWater is different. We're a 501(c)(4), which means your donation to us is not tax deductible. But we can do politics.
We can push for better policies AND better policy-makers. We can identify clean-water candidates and tell voters who's committed to cleaner water, and who isn't.
We can engage in unlimited lobbying on behalf of clean-water causes.
And we can track political donations from special interests like Big Sugar as part of our Dirty Money Project, and how this campaign cash affects public policy.
So on Giving Tuesday, please consider making a donation to VoteWater. Your generosity powers our work, helps us hold elected officials accountable and gets us closer to the day when Floridians no longer have to ask: What's in this water?
