According to revised rules coming out of Donald Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the government will no longer have the power to regulate pollutants in wetlands and tributaries that feed into larger bodies of water.
This is bad news not only for our environment, but also for the quality of drinking water that comes out of your faucet!
The Obama Administration worked to expand rules surrounding wetlands and tributaries because they understood that pollution dumped in these small bodies of water can flow toward larger water sources like rivers and lakes where we draw our drinking water. Donald Trump’s EPA is turning a blind eye to give big polluters a kickback, and we need to stop it!
