ZOA and its Center for Law and Justice spearheaded the effort that led to the Department of Education reinterpreting Title VI of the Civil Rights act to finally include Jews as a protected minority class. Prior to this decision, Jewish students were told by school administrators that the institution couldn’t do anything to protect them from antisemitic harassment and discrimination. We enlisted the help of 40 Congress members, wrote articles, and made many media appearances to raise awareness of this issue. We have now filed more Title VI lawsuits than anyone.
ZOA lectures at synagogues, colleges, and other fora, exposing anti-Israel blood libel — occupation, genocide, apartheid, Jerusalem’s value to Palestinians — and the fact that the Palestinian people are solely governed by individuals and groups committed to our murder and Israel’s destruction: the Palestinian Authority (PA), and Hamas.
ZOA Campus provides educational material and teaches college students how to advocate for Israel and combat the antisemitic propaganda on campus, which mimics the blood libel disseminated by the PA and Hamas.
We have appeared on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, The Mark Levin Show, The Mike Huckabee show, and so many more, promoting Israel and fighting the scourge of antisemitism.
ZOA’s Government Relations Department meets with Congress members and staffers daily, educating them about Israel and antisemitism. We’ve testified numerous times before U.S. Congressional committees.
The Zionist Organization of America has championed the Jewish cause and made a difference for over 125 years, since 1897! Under Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver and his major Zionist speech at the UN, ZOA led the fight to reestablish the State of Israel. We established a major cultural center, ZOA House in Tel Aviv and a major school, Kfar Silver, in Ashkelon, as well as major programs in Israel for young Jews. We were the only prevalent Jewish group to expose the dangers of the Oslo accords with Arafat and to have opposed the disastrous policy of removing 10,000 Jews from Gaza in 2005, which led the way to the Hamas massacre of our innocent Jewish brothers and sisters. ZOA will continue to courageously tell the truth of the Arab/Islamic war against the Jews and Israel. We need to ensure that we can continue our work for the next 125 years.
