John, our housing system is designed to work against the working class.
How do I know? Even as I was being sworn into Congress, I was stuck couch surfing – getting denied from expensive apartments and losing hundreds of dollars in bogus application fees.
But we don’t have to accept broken systems. So I’m fighting back instead, and asking you to join me:
I introduced my End Junk Fees for Renters Act, to take on landlords who sneak in ridiculous fees. It’s past time we stand up for renters and fight back against discriminatory practices and unnecessary fees – from application fees to tenant portal fees to the predatory credit checks that held me back.
We can end all of it. But only if we demand change.
And listen, John: I will always advocate for renters and housing rights. But I need to stay here to keep pushing – and re-elections don’t come cheap.
So before midnight, I have to ask: Will you donate $27 NOW to help me keep fighting in Congress to end these unfair, unjust practices and defend the working class people that move our communities forward every day?
Together in this fight,
Maxwell Frost
