John,
In a moment, I’m going to ask you to donate to Washington Conservation Action and help support their ongoing work. First, let me tell you why this is important and the impact your gift will have for WCA, our communities, and our environment.
As governor, I’ve counted on the grassroots support and thoughtful counsel of Washington Conservation Action.
Never was this more evident than during the passage of the historic ‘Climate Commitment Act’ in 2021, an all hands on deck effort!
Washington Conservation Action is a key voice in our state, listening to Tribal Nations, Black-led groups, and overburdened communities, and consistently helping my team push bold legislation and budgets that address the environmental threats we collectively face.
The collaboration between my team, community leaders, tribal leaders, legislators, and WCA’s supporters, brought a decade of grassroots action and advocacy to bear and helped us address the very real threat of a planet warmed by dangerous pollution.
The passage of the 'Climate Commitment Act’ was a culmination of this work—making a powerful difference for communities and our environment across that state.
Now, WCA urgently needs our help.
The WCA end-of-year fundraising campaign is in full swing, and your support today will ensure they can protect the Climate Commitment Act and continue working to solve the existential environmental threats we face as a state.
Will you pitch in now to support the beneficial work of Washington Conservation Action? [[link removed]]
As governor, I can tell you WCA is a critical ally in my work to protect our state from the ravages of climate change. From the start of my administration, I prioritized transformative climate legislation, establishing the most equitable, comprehensive carbon pricing law anywhere in the United States, and WCA has been there every step of the way leading through their community outreach and intensive grassroots organizing.
Today, we’re asking you to stand with WCA as they work to hit their end-of-year fundraising goal. Please take a moment to show your support by donating now. Your support will make a difference. [[link removed]]
Thank you for your support.
Governor Jay Inslee
