Red, white, black, and green; the colors of the Palestinian flag and also watermelon - a creative symbol of the Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation for years. When the people of Palestine were censored and forbidden from flying their flag, they brought sliced watermelon to the protest! 🍉
In these past few weeks, you may have heard the chant, 🗣️“from Palestine to Mexico, all the walls have got to go!” Our struggles for liberation are interconnected, we’re all fighting for a world where everyone is free to move, free to live, and free to thrive. To achieve that vision, we must keep up a united front!
