John,
Now that the holiday weekend is over, my campaign team is back to work, and I've asked them to do everything possible to meet our November grassroots fundraising goal.

We still need to raise $4,000 by the end of the month in order to meet our goal. But I also want to take a moment and let you know why it's so important that we meet these goals.
Last year I found myself in one of the toughest races of my political career. I was deemed a Frontline candidate, FiveThirtyEight said mine was the most competitive House race in Georgia, and the NRCC told me to "retire or lose."
Well, we pulled out a victory despite the threats from Republicans.
How did we do it? By doing two things.
First, I ran on my record. I've worked hard for Middle and Southwest Georgians for all my time in Congress, and I will continue to do so.
Second, we won by being disciplined about our resources. We set regular fundraising goals and did everything we could to meet them each month so that we could ensure we'd have the resources to fight back against the dark money and outside special interest groups trying to unseat me.
As we get ready for 2024, it's more important than ever that we stay disciplined with our fundraising. We know the national GOP will try again to defeat me. And we know that they'll have lots of money behind them.
So please, John — will you help us stay on target by making a contribution now toward our $4,000 end of November goal?
Thank you for all your support,
Sanford Bishop
