Hey DC (and DMV area!),
Next Tuesday, December 5th, join us in front of the White House to call on the Biden administration to issue a final Title IX rule now! Survivors of sexual assault, LGBTQ+ students, and pregnant & parenting students should not be living with Trump-era rules at their school - especially when President Biden promised to reverse that dangerous policy.
Wait, what's happening? For the past two and a half years, students have been devastatingly impacted by the Trump/DeVos Title IX rule, which rolled back students’ civil rights. On the campaign trail, President Biden promised to reverse this dangerous policy, acknowledging the harm of this rule and the need for new, strong Title IX protections. The Biden administration previously announced a new final Title IX rule would be issued by October 2023. But it is November – and we still don’t have any indication that Title IX will be finalized before students head back to school in the spring.

Now is the time for President Biden to make good on his promise. Students deserve a return to school post-winter break with robust Title IX regulations in place.
- Plus, students who come qualify for a stipend to cover travel costs and their time for being there.
