John, it's Jeanna Repass, Chair of the Kansas Dems, and Kansas Republicans don't ever seem to learn from their mistakes.
Years after former Governor Brownback's infamous tax-cut failure, Republicans are returning to the legislature with the same promises to cut taxes for the wealthy, reduce state revenue, and eliminate sections of the state's budget.
John, their bill would make it harder for Kansans to put food on the table and get the resources they need from the state to thrive.
We can't stand idly by as far-right extremists threaten our economy and put our people at risk, but we need a strong show of public support to help our message break through the noise. Will you sign our petition and show your support for a fair taxing system? [[link removed]]

John, Republicans have been advocating for this bill for years .
Just last session, the bill was passed in the legislature, vetoed by Governor Kelly, but the effort to overturn her veto fell short by only ONE VOTE.
This isn't the first time Gov. Kelly has fought hard for fair and responsible tax cuts – in 2022, she delivered on her promise to ax the 6.5% (the second highest in the nation) sales tax on food. But this year, the GOP is committed to delivering on their agenda, and they have the supermajority to see it through.
John, one thing is clear: we are in desperate need of legislators that align with our concerns and values, or else we'll continue falling victim to the far-right.
Along with Gov. Kelly and other Kansas Democrats' efforts, we're going to need a strong show from people in our community to tell Kansas Republicans that failing once is enough.
That's why our team created this petition. Will you add your name to the petition below to show them that their actions don't align with our values? [[link removed]]
