"Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) should be applauded for her efforts in getting Sergeant First Class William Montgomery recognized for a Purple Heart. Boebert came through for the combat veteran when the rest of the government failed Montgomery, a Colorado native, for years...
In what should only be described as a rebuke of the government’s incompetence and lack of appreciation for our combat veterans, Montgomery was unable to make any progress with his efforts to receive a Purple Heart. He previously contacted other elected officials to determine if his injuries were worthy of the medal, but no one was willing to help him.
But then Boebert got involved. Montgomery had contacted the congresswoman’s office for help; she was more than willing to assist. And, in just a couple of months, Boebert accomplished what no other person could: get Montgomery his Purple Heart."
You can read the entire story from the Washington Examiner here which covers in detail the challenges Sgt. First Class Montgomery faced and how Rep. Boebert and her office delivered for this 3rd District veteran.
