Hey there! My name is Dale Moss, and I’ve been a Special Olympics superfan since I was a kid. That’s because of my big sister Amber, a retired Special Olympics South Dakota athlete, who also happens to be my favorite person in the world!  

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, the BIGGEST day for giving back all year. As one of Special Olympics’ Global Ambassadors, I’m humbled and honored to ask on behalf of this life-changing and one-of-a-kind organization: Will you donate for Giving Tuesday to help reach our $300,000 goal for athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID)? I consider myself one lucky guy. Of all the hats (and helmets) I’ve been fortunate enough to wear over the years – NFL player, actor/model/host, inclusion activist – none has ever topped being a brother. 

Growing up, my four sisters and I didn’t have much. We’d literally dig in the couch cushions for coins to fill up the car’s gas tank. But when I would watch my sister Amber from the stands competing in Special Olympics track and field, when I saw the self-confidence, friendships, and sheer joy these games brought her, I knew there was reason for HOPE. 

Special Olympics changed Amber’s life, my family’s life, and my life. And in my capacity as a Global Ambassador, traveling the world to promote more acceptance and access in sports, I’ve seen how many families are just like mine and how many athletes with ID are just like Amber.
