Hamas is so contemptuous of Joe Biden and American power that they felt more pressure to release Filipino and Thai hostages before any American hostages.
That’s just one example of Biden’s weakness.
His weakness has emboldened Hamas to hold Americans hostage. It has emboldened Iran to attack Americans more than 70 times over the last month. And it emboldened the Taliban to take control of Afghanistan in 2021.
Fear of escalation leads to escalation. And right now, Joe Biden is scared of his own shadow.
It’s pathetic, and it’s also making America less safe. Only the strong can preserve freedom, and I will continue to call out Biden’s weakness.
Tom Cotton was born and raised on his family’s cattle farm in Arkansas, served as an Army infantry officer in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is fighting for working Americans in the U.S. Senate.
The tragic attacks of September 11, 2001 occurred during Tom’s final year of law school and changed his life’s trajectory.
After clerking on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and spending a short time in private law practice, he joined the United States Army as an Infantry Officer, spending nearly five years on active duty.
Between his two combat tours he served as a platoon leader with the Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery, the unit responsible for military honors funerals.
Tom’s military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and Ranger Tab.
In the U.S. Senate, he’s fighting the tough battles for Arkansans and Americans, and delivering real results. He knows that only the strong can survive in a dangerous world, and he’s building a movement to make America strong again.
Senator Cotton was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.
