John: This month, a federal judge temporarily halted Idaho’s draconian “abortion trafficking” ban.
As a reminder, this outlawed assisting a minor to receive abortion care without their parent’s permission — even making it illegal to cross the border into Washington or Oregon where the procedure was legal.
The law completely trapped anyone under 18, leaving them with no ability to exert control over their own body. The first arrest under the law was made just last week — so this halt couldn’t have come at a more critical time.
The halt from the judge was temporary, and the future of the law is unclear as it likely faces more legal challenges in the future. But we have momentum right now, so it’s time to act:
John, can you pitch in just $5 today to support our efforts to protect abortion access in every corner of our country?
