NIJ seeks proposals from accredited research universities to study law enforcement responses to opioid overdoses. The study will incorporate law enforcement’s responses with linked community agencies and include specific practices that ensure the well-being, assessment, and protection of children. Linked community agencies include public and private agencies that have a role in reducing or responding to opioid misuse and overdoses. Applications not from accredited research universities will not be considered.
NIJ will be hosting an informational webinar about this funding opportunity on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET. Register for the webinar.
Application Instructions
Applications will be submitted in a two-step process, each step with its own deadline:

Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov.
Grants.gov Deadline: February 12, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET

Submit the full application, including attachments, in JustGrants.
JustGrants Deadline: February 26, 2024 at 8:59 p.m. ET
