My name is Ike McCorkle, and I am a decorated Marine Corps veteran, a proud father of four, and a progressive Democrat who isn't afraid of the issues or the moment we are in. I am proud to lead the fight to win this seat and work FOR the people of eastern Colorado, not for corporate interests who have steadily destroyed rural America for their own greed.
Republicans want to ban abortion at the federal level. That would make state laws protecting abortion rights invalid. It's scary and difficult to imagine, but the millions of Americans who live in states with trigger laws saw their rights taken away in an instant last summer.
In times like these, we can't afford to overlook a single seat - in Congress, in the Senate, in state legislatures - anywhere.
With the MAGA wing of Colorado's GOP set to nominate a fringe character with a criminal background, this seat is absolutely in Democrats' reach. But we have to nominate the right Democrat, and we have to build a war chest big enough to face off with national dark money groups who will dump cash into this race.
