Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have lived it. For more than 800,000 years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280ppm ([link removed]) .

Earth passed 350ppm CO2 during 1988!
Mauna Loa Observatory ([link removed]) - We are now in the 420ppm range!

Sustainable Buildings:
Identifying Leverage Points for Climate Action

Did you know that about 40% of global carbon emissions are attributable to buildings? Changing the way we build new buildings — and renovate existing buildings — will play an important role in meeting our global climate goals.

Please join us on Monday December 4, to hear from Ben Austin, Sustainability Lead at the Madison construction firm J.H. Findorff & Son ([link removed]) . Ben will address the opportunities and challenges of taking climate action in the building sector. He joins us at the invitation of 350 Wisconsin’s Community Climate Solutions Team ([link removed]) .

350 Chicago Meeting
Monday, December 4, 7pm

Please join us for this special event. As you all know, most kids do not learn much about climate science, the climate crisis, or how it will affect them in their futures, let alone the solutions available to us. That needs to change.

The Center for Climate Literacy out of the Univ. of Minnesota is speaking about this issue on Dec. 4th at 7. Below is the description, and attached is a flyer with the QR code to register. IF for some reason the QR code does not work, here is the Zoom link: [link removed]

If you can't join the meeting but want to view the recording, REGISTER. You'll receive a link when the recording is ready.

350MKE Fridays for Future
Fridays from 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Chase & Wells Fargo Banks
Many banks (including Chase and Wells Fargo) are lending their depositor's money to fossil fuel companies to develop new fossil fuel production.

We want more people to be aware of this and hopefully change their bank or talk to the bank management!

We get honks and thumbs up from drivers and passersby. Some people stop and have a chat about what the banks are doing, or ask, "What is fossil fuel ([link removed]) ?"

We're alternating between two Chase Bank locations.
